In May, we celebrate Jewish American History Month, paying tribute to the generations of Jewish Americans who have helped form the fabric of American history, culture, and society. Amid the celebrations, though, Jewish Americans face a national rise in anti-Semitic sentiment threatening the population of 7.6M Jewish Americans.
Recently, a leading anti-hate organization recorded 2,100 acts of assault, vandalism and harassment against American Jews – an increase of 12% over the previous year and a record high since 1979 when the organizations began tracking incidents.
Join FUEL for a discussion about the contributions of Jews to American culture and the multi-cultural fight against antisemitism. During the discussion we will explore:
- The history of Jews in America and how they’ve helped to shape society
- What it means to be Jewish and the racial and cultural diversity within the group
- How antisemitism shows up in the modern day and the impact it has on Americans and
- How to support the movement to fight anti-Semitic sentiment.
This conversation is open to everyone and is designed as a safe space for understanding, support, and growth. Register today.
